Teach a Love for Reading

Learn to Read and Read to Learn

This graduate-level endorsement program will prepare teachers to help learners in grades K-12 improve their reading proficiency and comprehension. The program is designed for classroom teachers who want to sharpen their skills and increase the effectiveness of their reading instruction or to work as a literacy leader or coach, a reading intervention or a remediation provider. You can have no greater impact than teaching a student to love to read!

Due to a generous grant from the O'Shaughnessy Foundation, the School of Education at the University of St. Thomas can offer 20 teachers the opportunity to expand their literacy skills at a reduced cost. The university has chosen to offer this exciting opportunity to Tier 3 and/or Tier 4 teachers currently teaching in a charter, public or private school serving diverse and underrepresented students.
