Accreditation and State Board Approvals
BOSA: Board of School Administrators
Since 2001, the Board of School Administrators (BOSA) has been reviewed and approved preparation programs for school administrators.
In 2023, following a comprehensive program review and site visit, the Department of Educational Leadership administrative programs for principals, directors of special education, and superintendents received a 5-year approval from BOSA.
PELSB: Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board
The Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) is charged with oversight of post-secondary teacher preparation programs and educator licensure.
After a comprehensive unit review and site visit, the Board granted the St. Thomas School of Education "Full Continuing Approval" to offer teacher preparation programs through June 30, 2025.
