The University of St. Thomas and Groves Academy partnered to create a learning opportunity for elementary educators and reading specialists that dives deeper into the importance of teaching literacy. Scientifically based reading instruction is key to solving the national reading problem. This program will teach the five components of reading instruction, underscore the importance of early identification of children with reading difficulties, promote a better understanding of what dyslexia is and what it is not, and highlight effective remediation strategies.
