Social Studies (5-12)

Social studies is a broad content area that includes the core disciplines of history, political science, geography, economics, psychology and sociology.  Teachers in the area of social studies have the critical role of helping learners understand their own society as well as the global community. In addition to being prepared to teach social studies in grades 5-12, graduates of this program can bring a unique understanding of culture, history and economics to business settings
