Join the in-demand field of math education while helping students learn new ways of thinking mathematically and honing their problem-solving skills.

Mathematics teachers help students understand math in its many forms, including algebra, geometry and calculus. You will learn to help students apply these skills, relieve "math anxiety" and realize their ability to work with numbers. Math skills are in high demand in the workplace, increasing the demand for high-quality math teachers who can educate students to fulfill the need.

You can graduate from this program in four years with a license to teach mathematics. You’ll earn a bachelor’s degree with a double major in mathematics and education.
