Male Master's Graduate

Work & Learn

The Work and Learn program aims to recruit, prepare, retain and support highly qualified paraprofessionals and effective teachers from under represented backgrounds who reflect our diverse student populations in Twin Cities metro school districts. It provides an affordable, accessible, and accelerated program to earn a Minnesota teaching license and master’s degree in 2 years.

The Work & Learn Southwest Program is for individuals dedicated to education, have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, and are current or prospective employees of SouthWest Metro Intermediate District 288 or its 11 member districts. Participants will be employed as teachers of record or paraprofessionals by their school district while taking a combination of online and face-to-face (f2f) courses. See the Work and Learn Southwest flyer for additional information.

The Work & Learn East Program is for individuals dedicated to education, have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (minimum 2.75 GPA), and are current or prospective employees of Intermediate 917, 916, and their member Districts, and District 196. The program provides a pathway for participants to earn their teaching license in special education while working for the district, which results in reduced credits and costs, and provide hands-on experience and support to prepare participants for success in their future teaching careers! Participants will be employed as teachers of record or paraprofessionals by their school district while taking a combination of online and face-to-face (f2f) courses. See the Work and Learn East flyer for additional information.
